Arusha to Tarangire National Park

On Day 1, you will depart from Arusha in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its massive herds of elephants, towering baobab trees, and diverse wildlife.

The park is home to lions, leopards, giraffes, and a variety of antelopes. You will enjoy a full-day game drive, stopping for a picnic lunch inside the park while enjoying stunning views of the Tarangire River.

In the evening, you will drive to Eileen’s Trees Inn, a comfortable midrange lodge in Karatu, where you can relax and enjoy a delicious dinner.

Ngorongoro Crater

On Day 2, after an early breakfast, you will head to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. You will descend into the crater for an incredible game drive, with opportunities to see the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), along with hippos, flamingos, and hyenas.

The crater’s unique ecosystem makes it one of the best places in Africa to see wildlife up close.

After a picnic lunch by a hippo pool, you will continue your game drive before heading back to Arusha, where you will stay overnight at Arusha Safari Moivaro Lodge, a tranquil lodge offering a peaceful setting to prepare for the next day’s adventure.

Mt Kilimanjaro Hike to Mandara Hut

On Day 3, you will embark on a guided day hike on Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest peak.

You will drive to Marangu Gate (1,860m), where you will register before starting your trek through lush rainforest, home to colobus monkeys and exotic bird species. After a 3-4 hour hike, you will reach Mandara Huts (2,720m), where you can rest and explore the nearby Maundi Crater, offering breathtaking views of Kenya.

After lunch, you will descend back to Marangu Gate, where your guide will be waiting to take you back to Arusha.
