Day 2

After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up from your hotel and set off toward the legendary Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you ascend through the lush Ngorongoro Highlands, you’ll take in breathtaking views before reaching the entrance of Serengeti National Park—where your thrilling game drive begins.
Spanning roughly 15,000 sq km, the Serengeti is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. It boasts over 2 million herbivores, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 550 cheetahs, and nearly 500 bird species. During the dry season, immense herds of wildebeest and zebras migrate across its vast plains.
Even outside migration season, the Northern Serengeti teems with life—lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, crocodiles, and the elusive oribi antelope. As the sun sets, you’ll head to your lodge or campsite for a well-earned dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, set off on an exciting game drive toward the northern Serengeti, where you’ll spend the night surrounded by breathtaking wilderness. Your journey takes you to the remote Bologonja and Mara River regions, prime locations for witnessing the awe-inspiring Great Migration.
Between July and September, countless wildebeest and zebras gather along the riverbanks, preparing for a perilous crossing. They brave powerful currents and the lurking Nile crocodiles, all in pursuit of fresh grazing lands. This dramatic spectacle is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, as these herds push forward on their relentless trek toward Kenya’s Masai Mara. Enjoy a delicious breakfast before grabbing your packed lunch and setting off for an unforgettable journey to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. Formed by a massive volcanic eruption over two million years ago, this UNESCO World Heritage Site boasts the world’s largest unbroken caldera, creating a thriving ecosystem teeming with wildlife.
Descend into the crater, standing at 1,800 meters (5,900 feet) above sea level, and witness an incredible concentration of animals—around 30,000—including lions, elephants, rhinos, and countless bird species. The crater’s lush plains and soda lakes make it a paradise for both predators and prey.
After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, you’ll journey back to Arusha, where you'll be dropped off at your preferred location, marking the end of your adventure.
