Day 6
Lake manyara park
Lake manyara park
One of the park’s most famous attractions is its population of tree-climbing lions. Unlike lions in other areas, these big cats are often seen lounging in acacia trees, a rare behavior among lions. The alkaline Lake Manyara dominates much of the park and attracts thousands of flamingos, pelicans, and other waterbirds, creating a spectacular pink-hued scene. Large herds of elephants, Buffalos, giraffes, zebras, and hippos, Troops of baboons (one of the largest in Africa) and blue monkeys, Leopards and other predators hidden in the forests. Near the southern part of the park, hot springs bubble up, offering a unique natural feature. The water is rich in minerals and is often steaming hot.
