Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel or airport, typically around 7:00-8:00 AM. You'll drive north through Kenya's central highlands, enjoying scenic views of coffee and tea plantations along the way. The journey includes a brief stop at the Equator crossing point.
You'll arrive at Samburu in time for lunch. After a short rest, embark on an afternoon game drive to start exploring this unique ecosystem.
Samburu is known for its semi-arid landscape and special wildlife including:

After an early breakfast, enjoy a full day of game drives in Samburu.
Wake up for an early Morning game drive: As the day begins, many animals are active and easier to spot. This is an excellent time for game drives, as predators may still be on the hunt and herbivores gather to graze in the cooler temperatures. Return to the camp for lunch and relaxation
Depart for another game drive in the late afternoon before sunset as this is another prime time for wildlife viewing. As the day cools down, animals become more active again after resting during the heat of midday. This time offers great opportunities for photography, with warm golden light enhancing visuals
You may also opt to visit a local Samburu village to learn about their culture and traditions. Lunch may be served as a picnic in the bush or back at your accommodation.
Continue with afternoon game drives along the Ewaso Nyiro River, which attracts numerous wildlife species. Return to your camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Wake up for a morning game drive in Samburu, check out and drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The journey takes approximately 2-2.5 hours through the scenic landscapes of central Kenya.
