After breakfast, we head towards Serengeti National Park. We dedicate this whole day to exploring the Serengeti, the land of the Maasai, the local people who have inhabited this area for millennia. The Serengeti hosts the world's last great terrestrial migration, that of the wildebeest and zebra. This awe-inspiring circular pilgrimage from north to south to west and back again is season-dependent and passes through the terrain where we safari.
On our Serengeti safari, we hope to spot many creatures. After our picnic lunch, we continue to explore the park, and our guide, with his intimate knowledge of the terrain, will lead us to extraordinary landscapes where we will see abundant animals in their habitat.
As the adventurous day draws to a close, we go straight to our accommodation for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Central to Northern Serengeti National Park following the great migration (River crossing)
After breakfast, we head toward the far Northern Serengeti National Park. Good sightings of giraffes, plains game, herds of buffalos, and elephants can often be seen on the way. While the Serengeti boasts abundant wildlife, it is perhaps best known for its annual great migration. Vast numbers of wildebeest, accompanied by large numbers of zebra and antelope, move in an annual pattern, constantly seeking fresh grazing. The precise timing of the migration depends upon the rainfall patterns each year. From the end of July to September, the migration can be found in the Northern Serengeti, where they cross the Mara River following the greener pastures of Masai Mara, providing the Mara River resident Nile crocodiles with an annual feast.
After lunch and an extensive game drive, we head to our camp for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu
After breakfast, we hit the road to experience the wonderful Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Africa. More precisely termed a caldera, this is the best place for game viewing in Tanzania. An enclosed ecosystem, the caldera is home to some 25,000 large mammals.
Descending the bumpy, winding track toward the caldera floor, we note our passage through several different climactic zones until, 600m down, we roam out onto the broad expanse. We can expect to see buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, elephant, reedbuck, and Thomson's gazelle. We may spot predators like lions and cheetahs lounging in the grass or in action, and some of the more than 500 bird species that inhabit this area. With a little bit of luck, we might catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhino through the grass.
After our extensive game drive within the crater, we drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
