Day 1

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, our assigned tour guide will greet you and lead you on an immersive guided tour of the city's neighborhoods, visit the Presidential Museum, a former residence of two Rwandan Presidents, offering insights into the country's complex political history. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Site, providing a deeper understanding of Rwanda's past. You will enjoy a leisurely lunch break, after which drive to the Northwestern part of Rwanda, where you'll take in the breathtaking views of the Twin Lakes Burera and Ruhondo, surrounded by lush hills, waterfalls, and the majestic Virunga Volcanoes if time permits.

Day 2

Following an early breakfast, you'll transfer to the park head offices in Kinigi by 7:00 am, where you'll meet fellow golden monkey trekkers and receive a briefing from your ranger guide on the dos and don'ts of the activity. Then, you'll proceed on a trek into the park to track the golden monkeys in their natural bamboo forest habitat, spending an hour observing these captivating creatures as they forage for bamboo leaves and potatoes. After your trek, you'll return to the trailhead, enjoy lunch at the lodge, and then visit Dian Fossey's grave before heading to Bwindi in Uganda.

Day 3

After breakfast, proceed to the rangers' post. You will be briefed (by a ranger guide) on the dos and don'ts. Following that, you will enter the Bwindi Forest to begin your adventure. This rain forest is breathtakingly beautiful! The area has a dramatic steeply forested landscape and is extremely dense, but it is crisscrossed by numerous animal trails that allow tourists access. The time and terrain vary according to the movements of these great primates. You will be allowed an hour in the presence of a gorilla group once you have located one. Spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is an unforgettable experience. Return to your lodging, check out, and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in the evening to relax and have dinner.

Day 4

Enjoy breakfast, then proceed on a morning game drive through the famous Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park in search of tree-climbing lions. The chance of seeing lions up in the trees is 70% depending on their location. It is an exciting moment to spot lions up in fig tre. Expect to see additional wildlife in this part of the park including elephants, herds of buffaloes and Uganda kobs grazing in the plains among others. You will return to the lodge for lunch and later check out to transfer to Kasenyi plains in Queen National Park. Expect an evening game drive when you arrive to catch sights of numerous elephants, buffaloes, topi, leopards among others.

Day 5

After breakfast, You'll transfer to Kyambura Gorge located with in Queen Elizabeth National Park for a thrilling primate walk. The gorge is habitat to chimpanzees, baboons, vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys among others that you will see swinging through the trees. You will be led on a guided walk with help of a ranger guide to locate the chimps. Once you've located the chimpanzees, you'll have the opportunity to spend a 1 hour observing and taking in the sights of these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat. Return to the accommodation to have lunch and some rest time, then proceed on an exciting boat cruise experience along Kazinga Channel connecting lakes George and Edward. You'll get up-close with large hippos, elephants at the shores drinking water, spot crocodiles basking in the sun or swimming, spot various bird species including the African fish eagles, king fishers, and herons among others. On return, you'll enjoy an evening game drive.

Day 6
Transfer to Entebbe
Transfer to Entebbe
After breakfast, you'll embark on a scenic drive to Entebbe International Airport, which takes around 7-8 hours. The journey includes a lunch break and a stop at the Equator point, offering a unique experience. You'll arrive at the airport in the evening, in time to catch your night flight home.
