The park's seasonal migration, driven by the search for water, draws an array of animals, making it a vital wildlife sanctuary.

The crater’s unique ecosystem, with its lush vegetation, soda lakes, and grasslands, offers a spectacular backdrop for wildlife viewing. It is also an important conservation area and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
