From January to April, wildebeest, zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles give birth, attracting predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. Smaller animals like rock hyrax, bat-eared foxes, mongooses, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, baboons, and African hares also thrive here. Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Highlands

You will rise early for a sunrise game drive, the best time to witness wildlife at its most active and to experience a breathtaking African sunrise—one of nature’s most spectacular sights. Afterward, return to camp for breakfast, check out, and journey to the Ngorongoro Crater. This natural wonder boasts the highest concentration of wildlife in Africa, including nearly every species native to the region, such as the rare black rhino. Within the crater, you’ll find a river, swamps, a soda lake that appears to steam from above, lush forests, and vast open plains. The resident bull elephants here are known for their exceptionally large tusks, a result of the mineral-rich volcanic soil and grasses. Enjoy lunch during your unforgettable game drive before ascending the crater rim and heading to Ngorongoro Simba Campsite A. After check-in, unwind over dinner and enjoy a restful overnight stay.
