Day 1

Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

You will be picked up by our representative from your Nairobi hotel after breakfast or at the airport at 7:00 am and be driven through the spectacular Great Rift Valley, with a stop at the escarpment viewpoint en route to the Masai Mara. We’ll arrive at the lodge in time for lunch.

The Masai Mara is world-famous for the annual Great Wildebeest Migration, which takes place in July and August when close to a million wildebeest cross the Mara River in search of pasture. Our guide will take you through the reserve on a late afternoon game drive, where you'll be surprised by the high concentration of wild animals. Here, herds of elephants roam freely, and wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, Thomson’s gazelles, and zebras graze in large numbers. Big cats are not hard to spot either, including the elusive leopard. It is one of the few places where you are guaranteed to spot the famous “Big Five” in a single morning or afternoon.

Day 2

Masai Mara National Reserve

Masai Mara National Reserve

Embrace your second day with an exhilarating predawn game drive to witness the awakening savannah. The morning unveils a captivating display of wildlife in their natural habitats, offering a chance to spot the “Big Five.” This reserve is not only the most popular game reserve in the country, but it is probably why most people visit Kenya.

After a relaxing midday break, immerse yourself in the afternoon magic of the Mara, exploring different corners of the reserve or opting to visit the Masai community for deep cultural encounters and to gain insights into their traditions. The reserve is set on a classic African savannah, and the huge density of wildlife is astounding. Zebras, wildebeest, and gazelles graze in large herds, and where prey is abundant, so are the predators. As the sun sets, retreat to your comfortable lodge, anticipating another night surrounded by untamed beauty.
