Day 1

You will be picked up from your hotel after an early breakfast and briefed about the 4 days’ safari before embarking on your journey to Gulu town. Depart Kampala and start your journey. Arrive in Gulu town and explore the town, take a leisurely walk around Gulu to experience the local culture. You can visit Gulu Central Market, interact with the locals, or visit some historical sites related to the region's recent history. Have lunch and then proceed to Aruu falls in the Acholi sub-region. Walk to the viewpoint and take photos of the stunning waterfalls and surrounding landscape, you will continue with your journey. Get back to Gulu town check in lodge for relaxation and an overnight.

Day 2

Transfer to kidepo national park and cultural experience

Transfer to kidepo national park and cultural experience

After an early breakfast, depart to Kidepo National Park. Along the way, you will enjoy scenic views of hills that separate Acholi land from Karamoja, beautifully thatched grass houses and cross a few seasonal rivers. Have lunch and proceed to visit a local Karamojong village to learn about their culture and traditions. The Karamojong are semi-nomadic pastoralists who have maintained their lifestyle for generations you’ll witness traditional dances, visit their homes (manyatta), and hear about their daily life and practices. Have a chance to interact with the locals and perhaps buy handmade crafts. Arrive at the lodge check in for evening relaxation and overnight.

Day 3

Hiking and game drive

Hiking and game drive

After breakfast, you will prepare for the hiking adventure to the Mountains in a less traveled part of the park with a stunning landscape. Enjoy a guided trek up these beautiful hills, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and the park below. The hike is moderate in difficulty and typically takes about 2-3 hours, depending on the pace. In the afternoon, head out on your first game drive in Kidepo National Park. Explore areas like the Narus Valley, which is famous for wildlife sightings, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and various antelopes. You may also spot lions, leopards, and cheetahs in this area. You will then return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 4

You will take photos and proceed to check-out and start your journey back to Kampala. Along the way, you will pass through many local villages. Have enroute lunch along the way to Kampala. This marks the end of your memorable safari with us.
