3-Day Amazing Flying in Selous Safari from Zanzibar

Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve)

Early in the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel in Stone Town, Zanzibar City (additional fees may apply if the hotel is outside stone town) and transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your scheduled flight.

Take the short local flight over the stunning landscapes of mainland Tanzania. Arrive at Nyerere National Park, formerly Selous Game Reserve, at 7:00 am.
Your professional driver guide will be at the airstrip waiting. After the check-in process, you will exit the Airstrip and start your full day of safari and game drives.

Throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to see various animals, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, numerous antelopes, buffalo, and, on a fortunate day, you might even spot the endangered black rhino.

In the afternoon, you will take a hot picnic lunch break, allowing you to stretch your legs and rest. Afterward, you will continue your afternoon game drives until sunset. You will then drive to the hotel lodge for an overnight stay.

Boat Safari and Sport fishing

After an early breakfast, our professional driver will pick you up at your safari lodge for a boat safari and some fishing activity in the park. Inside the Nyerere National Park, there is the biggest river in Tanzania called the Rufiji River, and lakes like Siwandu and Nzerekela that are ideal spots for sports fishing, and bird watching.

In the afternoon, you will get a packed lunch and time to rest. In the afternoon, you will head for a village visit and community tour. You will get back to the lodge or camp for dinner, your overnight rest and prepare for the next day's schedule.

Walking Safari, and a Flight Back to Zanzibar

This should mark the end of your trip. On this day, you will have an early morning wake-up call, you will head out for a walking safari in the dense forest of the Nyerere National Park, accompanied by an armed ranger and a local expert guide who will guide you. After the walking safari, you will head back to the lodge for a delicious hot breakfast. After breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up at the lodge and drive to Mtemere Airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar.
