The safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, heading west toward the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. The journey takes approximately 5-6 hours through the Great Rift Valley with scenic viewpoints along the way. Upon arrival, settle into your accommodation and embark on an afternoon game drive to spot the reserve's diverse wildlife offering an introduction to the incredible wildlife of the Masai Mara.

The afternoon game drive provides excellent opportunities to spot the reserve's abundant wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and various antelope species. During the migration season (July to October), the reserve hosts millions of wildebeest and zebras crossing from Tanzania's Serengeti

Dinner and overnight accommodation at the camp.

The second day is dedicated to exploring the vast Masai Mara ecosystem. Early morning game drives are particularly rewarding as predators are often active during this time. The day typically includes morning and afternoon game drives with a break for lunch and rest at the accommodation during the midday heat.

The Masai Mara is Kenya's premier wildlife destination and part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem.

Big Five sightings (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and occasionally rhino)

Dedicate the entire day to exploring Masai Mara. Start with an early morning game drive when animals are most active. The reserve is renowned for its magnificent black-maned lions, and you have a good chance of viewing these powerful predators.

In the afternoon, continue your wildlife exploration, keeping an eye out for the Big Five and other iconic species. End the day with evening entertainment, often including traditional Maasai performances

You may aslo opt to depart with picnic lunches after breakfast for a full day game drive. This option gives you the opportunity to explore a larger part of theMasai Mara as well a seeing more wildlife.

After breakfast and possibly a short morning game drive, guests check out and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, a journey of approximately 5 hours. The drive offers changing landscapes as you leave the savannas of the Mara and enter the Great Rift Valley region.

Upon arrival at Lake Nakuru, visitors check into their accommodation before setting out for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park is famous for its rhino population (both black and white species), tree-climbing lions, and of course, the thousands of flamingos that line the lake shores when water conditions are favorable.

Lake Nakuru to Amboseli Via Lake Naivasha

Following breakfast and a possible morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, the journey continues to nearby Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake also situated within the Great Rift Valley. A highlight at Lake Naivasha is the boat trip on the lake, which allows visitors to observe hippos in their natural habitat, spot numerous bird species including fish eagles, and get close to wildlife along the shores.
Later, depart for Amboseli National Park, a journey of approximately 6-7 hours. The drive passes through Nairobi for a quick lunch and continues southeast toward the Tanzanian border.

Upon arrival in the late evening, you will check into the Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Dedicate the full day to exploring Amboseli. Morning and afternoon game drives offer opportunities to witness the park's diverse wildlife against the backdrop of Kilimanjaro. Between drives, relax at your lodge or camp, often with views of the mountain and visiting wildlife. The park offers excellent wildlife viewing such as Large families of elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species.
A visit to the observation hill provides panoramic views of the park and, on clear days, unobstructed views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Departure back to Nairobi

On the final day, You will wake up for an early morning game drive to catch the best light for photography and when wildlife is most active. This is often when Mount Kilimanjaro is most visible before clouds gather later in the day. After the game drive, breakfast is served at the camp before checking out and beginning the return journey to Nairobi.

The drive back to Nairobi takes approximately 4-5 hours, arriving in the city by mid-afternoon.

Our driver will drop you off at your hotel in Nairobi or the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport marking the end of the exciting Safari with us.
