Day 1

Your pick-up will be from either your hotel or the airport, where you'll be greeted by your professional English-speaking tour driver-guide. You'll then head to Murchison Falls National Park, home to the stunning Murchison Falls and Uganda’s largest wildlife haven, where you can spot lions, giraffes, hartebeests, buffalo, and elephants. A lunch stop will be included along the way.

If time permits, enjoy a late afternoon game drive. For those departing early from the airport or hotel, you may opt for a one-hour detour to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking at an additional cost of $50 per person. Otherwise, we will proceed directly to Murchison Falls.

After enjoying breakfast, set out for an early morning game drive across the expansive plains of Uganda’s largest national park. Keep an eye out for wildlife, including lions and elusive leopards, while birdwatchers can enjoy spotting a variety of birds along the way.

Return to your accommodation for some relaxation and lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a scenic boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls, where you can observe hippos, crocodiles, and a multitude of water birds.

Rise early for a scenic 1 hour 15-minute drive to Budongo Forest Reserve, arriving just in time for the 8:00 AM briefing. Afterward, set off on a guided primate walk through the lush tropical forest in search of the habituated chimpanzee family. Your guide will share fascinating insights about the animals and plants you encounter along the way.

After the trek, relax and enjoy lunch at Budongo Eco Lodge before transferring to Hoima City for your overnight stay at the booked accommodation.

Rise early for a thrilling morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, where you’ll search for Cape buffalos, herds of elephants, lions, and elusive leopards. Afterward, return to the lodge to check out and head to the Ishasha Sector in search of tree-climbing lions. While spotting these remarkable lions can be tricky—especially when they’re concealed in the grasslands—the chance of success is around 70%, and the sight is truly unforgettable if you do find them.

We’ll then continue to your accommodation in Bwindi National Park, arriving in the evening around 6:00 PM.

Enjoy breakfast before heading to the ranger's post for a briefing on trekking do's and don'ts. Then, enter the stunning Bwindi Forest for your adventure, where dramatic landscapes and dense foliage are crisscrossed by animal trails. The trek time varies based on the gorillas' movements, but once you find a group, you’ll spend an unforgettable hour with these gentle giants.

Afterward, return to your accommodation to check out and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for your overnight stay.

Enjoy your early breakfast and proceed for the Mburo morning park (bush) walk in the presence of an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger guide. On this early morning guided walk, you will have the opportunity to encounter (at close range): zebras, giraffes, eland, topi, other antelope, and Cape buffaloes among others.
Take the trail to the top of the hills and see Lake Mburo and beyond. From this vantage point, you will have a great view of 9 of the twelve lakes surrounding Lake Mburo National Park. Thereafter, return to the accommodation for checkout and then hit the road to Entebbe Airport to catch a flight (at 6:00 pm or later).
