Upon arrival in Nairobi, you’ll be welcomed by our representative and driven north past the equator to Samburu National Reserve. This semi-arid wilderness is home to rare wildlife, including the "Special Five": the beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, gerenuk, and Somali ostrich. After check-in and lunch, embark on your first game drive in search of elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

As the sun sets, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Spend a full day exploring Samburu’s rugged beauty with morning and afternoon game drives.

You'll set out for an early morning game drive in the Samburu Reserve. The morning is usually the most popular game-viewing time. During the early hours, the temperatures are low, thus providing a favorable atmosphere both for the game and the viewer. Lions, cheetahs, and leopards roam the vast grasslands in search of their next meal - it may be an unsuspecting impala or even a small animal like a warthog. The spectacle of nature unfolding is always amazing to watch from the pop-up roof.

On this day, you'll have an option to enjoy a cultural visit to a Samburu village (Optional, at an extra cost) to learn about their traditions and way of life. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its flamingos, rhinos, and diverse birdlife. Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive, where you’ll spot black and white rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, buffalos, and leopards.

Your dinner and overnight relaxation will be at the lodge.

Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara National Park

After breakfast, you'll have a full-day game drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve—lunch will be a picnic. The reserve is well known for its black-maned lions and abundant wildlife. This is one of the few places where it is possible to see the Big Five during a morning game drive. Many cheetahs are so tame they seek shelter from the hot sun under vehicles. Several even climb onto the roof to get a better view of prospective prey! For bird enthusiasts, there are almost 500 species have been recorded here. Among these include 16 species of eagle, many hawks and falcons, six species of vultures, eight species of storks, four species of bustard (including the kori bustard, the world's heaviest flying bird), and nine species of sunbirds. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

On this day, we can plan an optional visit to a Maasai village(at an extra cost) for cultural immersion. Alternatively, you can go on a hot air balloon safari(Optional, at an extra cost).

Day 6

Maasai Mara to Lake Naivasha

Maasai Mara to Lake Naivasha

You'll have an early breakfast at the lodge. Then, you'll drive to Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch. Later on, you'll proceed for the afternoon boat ride which is optional at an extra cost, and walk at Crescent Island (Also optional, at an extra cost). This is the only park in Kenya where one can cycle or walk while seeing the animals. There are many activities you can do in Hell’s Gate including walking, cycling, rock climbing, bird watching, and trekking through the gorge amongst the geysers, the choice is yours. Later, you'll proceed to the hotel for check-in and relaxation. You'll have dinner and your overnight stay at the lodge/camp.

You'll depart for Amboseli via Nairobi after breakfast and drive south through Maasai land to the plains below Mount Kilimanjaro where Amboseli is situated. After an en-route picnic lunch with the majestic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, you'll enjoy the spectacular displays of wildlife like lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, cheetahs, buffalos, and various plains game. Postcard-perfect pictures are almost always guaranteed. Finally, you will return to Amboseli Sopa Lodge for your dinner and overnight stay.

You'll have an early morning game drive in search of animals killing and eating. Later, you'll come back to the lodge for breakfast and then check out of the camp. You'll leave for Nairobi with a picnic lunch en route to Nairobi. In Nairobi, you will be dropped off at your place of choice.
