Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

We’ll pick you up from your hotel and introduce you to your expert safari guide and chef before embarking on a scenic two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Known for its breathtaking landscapes adorned with ancient baobab trees, this park boasts Tanzania’s largest elephant population. Throughout your game drive, you’ll have the chance to observe these gentle giants up close, along with an abundance of giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, and buffalo. Keep your eyes peeled for elusive predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards lurking in the savannah.

At midday, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch by the Tarangire River, a prime wildlife viewing spot where animals gather to drink. Be sure to watch out for playful monkeys and baboons, who might try to sneak a snack!

After an afternoon of further exploration, we’ll exit the park around 4:30 PM and head to your accommodation for a well-deserved rest.

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater

The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder, offering diverse ecosystems shaped by rich volcanic soil. This UNESCO-listed site provides one of the best opportunities to spot the Big Five in just a single day.

At the heart of the crater lies Lake Makat (meaning "Soda Lake" in Maasai), a haven for flamingos and other bird species. The surrounding grasslands, swamps, and acacia woodlands support an incredible variety of wildlife, including lions, buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, gazelles, jackals, foxes, wild dogs, elands, waterbucks, and servals. While cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and giraffes are rarer within the crater, they can sometimes be spotted along the rim.

After an unforgettable safari, we’ll drive you back to Arusha, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel in the evening.
