Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Start the day with an early breakfast before heading to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing. You will then embark on a thrilling gorilla trekking experience, an encounter that offers one of the most breathtaking wildlife experiences in the world. Spend one magical hour observing these incredible primates in their natural habitat.

In the afternoon, you can opt for an additional cultural experience:

Buhanga Forest Visit – A sacred site where Rwanda’s kings were once initiated.
Kinigi Cultural Village – Enjoy traditional dances, music, and learn about Rwanda’s ancient healing practices.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Golden Monkey Trekking OR Mount Bisoke Hike & Transfer to Kigali then Departure

On the final day, you have two exciting adventure options:

Option 1: Golden Monkey Trekking
Return to Volcanoes National Park early in the morning for a golden monkey trek. These playful and endangered primates are only found in the Virunga region, and they have become accustomed to human presence, allowing for close-up observation. After lunch, transfer back to Kigali, marking the end of your memorable tour.

Option 2: Mount Bisoke Hike
For adventurous travelers, embark on a challenging hike to Mount Bisoke (3,711m). This 6-hour trek takes you through lush vegetation to the stunning crater lake at the summit. Along the way, you may encounter forest elephants, buffaloes, and other wildlife.
In the afternoon, drive to Gisenyi and check in at Parades Marahide Hotel for an overnight stay by Lake Kivu.
