After a hearty breakfast at your lodge, you will begin your journey to Central Serengeti (approximately 4.5 hours’ drive, 290 km). Pass across the Ngorongoro carter with stanic view of ngorongoro crater along the way to central Serengeti you will have the chance to continually with the game drive up to central Serengeti.
The Central Serengeti is the heart of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park and one of the most iconic wildlife destinations in the world. Famous for its vast, open plains and an abundance of wildlife, this region is home to a high concentration of predators, including lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles. After breakfast, drive to Northern Serengeti (approximately 3.5 hours drive, 190 km), a prime area for witnessing the Great Migration, particularly if you’re visiting between July and October.
The Northern Serengeti is one of the most unique and sought-after regions of Serengeti National Park, renowned for its stunning landscapes and exceptional wildlife experiences. Located near the border with Kenya, this area is particularly famous for the Mara River, where one of the most dramatic events of the Great Migration unfolds – the river crossings. Between July and October, thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles courageously navigate the river, facing perilous challenges as they avoid the lurking crocodiles and hippos. After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Highlands (approximately 3.5 hours drive, 210 km), home to one of the most awe-inspiring landscapes in Tanzania. The journey will take you through the breathtaking Rift Valley, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding volcanic landscapes.
After a delightful breakfast in the Northern Serengeti, you will embark on a full-day game drive, heading southward toward the Central Serengeti. As you journey through the vast plains, keep your eyes peeled for the incredible wildlife that this area is renowned for, including big cats, herbivores, and a variety of bird species. The game drive will allow you to witness the rich diversity of animals in their natural habitat, with breathtaking landscapes unfolding before you.
After an exciting morning of wildlife viewing, you will enjoy a delicious picnic lunch in the heart of the Serengeti, surrounded by the iconic plains and acacia trees.

After breakfast, you will descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater (approximately 1 hour drive, 40 km). The Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa, home to an impressive concentration of wildlife, including the “Big Five” – lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and buffaloes.
Enjoy a morning game drive in the Crater, where you’ll encounter herds of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes, along with the incredible birdlife that inhabits this lush volcanic caldera. After the game drive, you will head back to Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport (approximately 4 hours drive, 200 km) for your onward departure.
