On arrival at the airport(morning time), our driver guide will take care of all your logistics, city tour, Kigali genocide memorial Centre, state house museum and lastly local dance performances. After you will transfer to volcanoes national park, you will have your Dinner and overnight stay at Tiloreza Volcanoes Eco Lodge. We recommend to arrival the previous day.

The Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre provides a poignant introduction, memorializing over one million victims of the 1994 genocide. Through artifacts, survivor accounts, and mass graves.

The State House Museum, housed in Rwanda’s former presidential palace, shifts focus to the nation’s pre-colonial heritage and colonial influences. The tour concludes with local dance performances, where Rwanda’s cultural vibrancy shines.

Gorilla trekking experience

Begin at 6:30 am with breakfast and at 8:00 am attend a briefing at the park headquarters about the day’s gorilla trekking rules.

Gorilla trekking experience in volcanoes national park.

The experience begins at dawn with a briefing from park rangers, who assign small groups to specific gorilla families. Treks vary in difficulty, lasting 1–6 hours, as guides navigate dense vegetation and steep slopes. The anticipation builds with every step, punctuated by calls of forest birds and the rustle of golden monkeys. Suddenly, the forest opens to reveal a gorilla family—silverbacks lounging, juveniles playfully tumbling, and mothers cradling infants. Visitors are granted an awe-inspiring hour to observe their human-like gestures, intricate social bonds, and quiet power, all while maintaining a respectful distance to minimize disturbance.

Community visit, Golden monkey tracking and transfer to the airport

Undertake a community walk to the Iby’iwachu Cultural Village. The traditional dances, poems, and dressing codes in this place are quite memorable. Alternatively, you may choose to return to the jungles of the park but this time to track the endangered and beautiful golden monkeys.

In the mid morning you will return to the lodge for a hot lunch and then our guide will transfer to Kigali for a scheduled return flight to your next destination. If you still have extra activities in Kigali, our guide will transfer you to your lodge.
