On Day 2, after breakfast, you’ll transfer to Lake Manyara National Park, which is located about a 2-hour drive from Tarangire. Lake Manyara is known for its rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes, ranging from lush forests to the soda lake that gives the park its name. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, a rare sight that you may be lucky enough to witness during your game drive. Manyara also boasts large populations of flamingos, especially around the lake, and other bird species, making it a birdwatcher's paradise. Aside from its birdlife, you’ll also encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, and even hippos along the lake's shores. The park’s varied habitats provide a perfect setting for an exciting safari. At Lake Eyasi, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with these local people, learning about their ancient hunting techniques, lifestyle, and survival skills. The Hadzabe people, in particular, are known for their traditional methods of hunting with bows and arrows and their deep connection to nature. The area surrounding Lake Eyasi is also beautiful, offering a quiet and serene atmosphere with views of the Great Rift Valley.
