After breakfast, you’ll depart from Maun Airport by light aircraft to Camp Kalahari, your base in the heart of the Makgadikgadi.
This afternoon, get your first taste of this surreal landscape with an activity that might include meeting the charming habituated meerkats or an introduction to the vast salt pans. As the heat of the day fades, enjoy a sunset over the endless horizon before returning to camp for dinner.

Upon arrival at Elephant Pan Camp, nestled in a mopane forest near a bustling waterhole, you’ll be welcomed and shown to your tented suite. This afternoon, head out on your first game drive in this private reserve, known for intimate wildlife encounters and, of course, its namesake elephants. Return to camp for a relaxed evening around the fire.
