From Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, depart Nairobi for Lake Nakuru National Park, a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is famous for its flocks of flamingos, diverse birdlife, and resident wildlife, including rhinos, buffalos, and Rothschild’s giraffes. The park’s unique landscape of acacia woodlands and open plains offers excellent wildlife viewing. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full Day Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, a beautiful reserve nestled in the Great Rift Valley. The park is famous for its shimmering alkaline lake, once rimmed with pink flamingos, and its role as a sanctuary for endangered black and white rhinos.
Explore diverse landscapes — from acacia woodlands and grasslands to rocky escarpments and marshy shores — all teeming with life. Spot buffalos, giraffes, zebras, baboons, and, if lucky, elusive leopards or tree-climbing lions.
Birdwatchers will delight in the rich avian life, including pelicans, herons, and over 400 bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing the afternoon drive.
Return to your lodge or camp in the evening to relax and reflect on the day’s sightings.

Enjoy the breathtaking savannah landscapes dotted with acacia trees before returning to your lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.

After a thrilling safari experience in the legendary Masai Mara, begin your journey back to Nairobi for your international departure from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). The drive offers one last look at Kenya’s beautiful countryside from rolling hills and acacia-dotted savannahs to bustling small towns and the dramatic Rift Valley escarpments. Distance approximately 250–300 km, depending on your camp/lodge location, Driving Time, 5.5 to 6.5 hours, depending on road conditions and traffic.
