Day 1

Moshi – Tarangire National Park

Moshi – Tarangire National Park

Your adventure begins early in the morning with a 6:00 AM pick-up from your hotel in Moshi by your professional safari guide. After a short briefing, you'll begin your journey southwest toward Tarangire National Park.

Upon arrival at Tarangire’s gate, your guide will handle the park formalities while you stretch your legs and prepare for your first game drive. Once inside the park, you'll immediately be immersed in a classic African safari landscape—dotted with iconic baobab trees, sweeping savannahs, and the winding Tarangire River.

After lunch, continue exploring different areas of the park on your afternoon game drive. Tarangire's landscapes shift from riverine forests to open savannahs and swamps, each attracting a variety of animals. As the afternoon cools, predators become more active.

In the late afternoon, you’ll exit the park and head toward your lodge near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you can relax, enjoy a warm shower, and have dinner.

Tarangire Natianal Park To Ngrorongoro Crater Back To Moshi

Wake up early to a fresh highland morning and enjoy a hearty breakfast at your lodge. By 6:00 AM, you'll begin your descent into the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s best wildlife-viewing destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest unbroken and unflooded volcanic caldera, formed over two million years ago. Its 600-meter-deep walls encase a rich ecosystem that supports over 25,000 animals year-round, making it one of the few places in Africa where you can potentially spot the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino.

As you descend, you’ll be greeted by stunning panoramic views before entering the crater floor, a lush mix of grasslands, forests, and a salt lake that attract an abundance of wildlife.

Around midday, stop at the scenic Hippo Pool picnic site for lunch. Enjoy your packed meal in the heart of the crater,
