Schedule of the Day: A Heart of Africa Safari Tours representative will pick you up from the airport or your hotel/lodge and drive you to Tarangire National Park for a full game drive, a journey of about 2.5 hours on well-paved roads.
Tarangire National Park Named after the Tarangire River, which provides the only water source during the dry season, the park is known for its large elephant herds often seen near the river. Other wildlife includes giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, and predators like lions and leopards. Enjoy lunch at a scenic picnic site within the park. After the game drive, you’ll be transferred to your lodge in Karatu village for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Schedule of the Day: Start your day with an early breakfast before your safari guide picks you up from the lodge for a cultural tour to Lake Eyasi. This region is home to the Hadzabe, East Africa’s last hunter-gatherers, whose way of life has remained unchanged for over 10,000 years. Nearby, you'll also meet the Datoga tribe, known for their metalworking skills and semi-nomadic farming lifestyle, similar to the Maasai. Lake Eyasi’s shallow, salty waters attract a variety of bird species, including flamingos, storks, and weavers. After exploring the area and engaging in cultural activities, you’ll return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 3
Ngorongoro Crater - Airport

Schedule of the day: Begin your day with an early breakfast before your safari guide picks you up from the lodge for a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, with lunch boxes provided. After exploring, you’ll be transferred to Arusha or the airport, marking the end of your safari.
The Ngorongoro Crater, formed by a volcanic collapse 2–3 million years ago, offers a breathtaking landscape of lakes, marshes, acacia forests, and savannahs surrounded by steep cliffs. It is a geological wonder and a haven for wildlife, hosting large herds of mammals and over 500 bird species. As you descend into the crater, expect to see zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, and possibly the endangered black rhino roaming the open grasslands.
