Schedule of the Day: A Heart of Africa Safari representative will pick you up from your accommodation or the airport and drive you to Serengeti Ndutu Park, focusing on witnessing the Great Migration. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot in the park, followed by an afternoon game drive before heading to your camp.
The Great Migration during the calving season features thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and other wildlife, with wildebeests giving birth to their young. This spectacle occurs annually from mid-December to early April, making it the ideal time to visit. After the game drive, you'll return to your lodge for relaxation and an overnight stay.

In the afternoon, travel to Ngorongoro and check in at your accommodation located on the crater rim. Staying here allows for an early descent into the crater the next morning, offering the best chance to observe wildlife when they are most active.

Schedule of the Day: Start your day with an early breakfast before your safari guide picks you up for a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. Enjoy wildlife viewing in this unique ecosystem. After the game drive, you’ll be transferred to Arusha or the airport, marking the end of your safari.
Ngorongoro Crater, formed 2–3 million years ago from a volcanic eruption, offers a breathtaking landscape of lakes, marshes, acacia forests, and vast savannahs surrounded by towering cliffs. This UNESCO-listed site is home to some of Africa’s largest mammal herds and over 500 bird species. While exploring the crater floor, you may spot zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, and have a rare chance to see the endangered black rhino roaming the open plains.
