Rainfall determines the animals' journey, which changes every year. In addition to the migratory herds, we might witness lions, cheetahs, and leopards going about their savage business.
We return to Karatu at about 14:00, where we find our well-chosen mid-range partner lodge for dinner in a beautifully furnished restaurant with a pool for relaxation if you would like, a digestif by the fire beneath the endless African sky, and spacious quarters waiting for you for a restful night and wild cat dreams.
