Day 1

Your safari adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, traveling along the legendary “explorers’ route” – the Nairobi–Mombasa highway. The scenic dawn drive takes approximately 3 to 4 hours (about 250–300 km), offering stunning views of the Athi Plains and local landscapes as you make your way to Tsavo East National Park.
We enter the park through the southern gate, with a brief stop for refreshments (optional). Upon arrival, we begin our first game-viewing drive, exploring the vast open plains of Tsavo East—home to the famous red elephants, lions, giraffes, cheetahs, buffaloes, and a wide variety of antelope and bird species.
After checking in at Voi Safari Lodge, enjoy a hearty lunch and some time to relax. In the afternoon, another game drive is scheduled, offering a relaxed exploration of the park as we track the Big Five and other wildlife, all while soaking in the majestic African sunset over the savannah.

Day 2
Tsavo East National Park to Tsavo West National Park

We will be up before sunrise! Dawn finds us set and ready for our early morning game drive. Experience the splendor of an African sunrise that engulfs the savannah as we traverse the vast Tsavo East Park in search of the early grazers and hunters. A relaxed mid-morning game-viewing drive then follows. Later, we proceed to the Tsavo West National Park where we visit the rhino sanctuary and the Mzima Springs.

Day 3
Tsavo West to Mombasa
Tsavo West to Mombasa
Your last day on safari! Be out at sunrise for a pre-breakfast game-viewing drive. This is when the park is at its best with the predators out on the hunt and the grazers browsing the soft, dewy vegetation. Natural colors dominate the scenic volcanic terrain. We will venture out again, this time to visit the Mzima Springs with more game viewing en-route. At the Mzima Springs, we will take a nature walk as we marvel at the underground source of sparkling, clear waters and the surrounding greenery which is a welcome reprieve in this semi-desert terrain. We view hippos, crocodiles, exotic fish and unique migratory birds.
Later, we depart from Tsavo West and proceed to the Kenyan coast and your beach hotel for drop-off. This marks the end of your 3-day and 2-night trip from Nairobi to Mombasa for your beach holiday extension.
