Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or pick-up from your nearby hotel in Arusha, you will meet your professional safari guide and begin your scenic drive to Tarangire National Park—approximately 2.5 to 3 hours away.

Tarangire is famed for its vast herds of elephants, iconic baobab trees, and the Tarangire River that attracts an abundance of wildlife year-round. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a full-day guided game drive across the park’s diverse landscapes. Keep your camera ready to spot lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and a variety of bird species.

You’ll enjoy a delicious picnic lunch at one of the scenic picnic sites inside the park, with your meal packed in a hamper container—perfect for relaxing in the heart of nature. After an exciting afternoon of wildlife viewing, you’ll continue exploring until late afternoon before heading to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, depart your lodge and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive in one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations.

The Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, spanning about 260 square kilometers and home to an incredible density of wildlife. As you explore the crater floor, you’ll have the chance to spot the Big Five—including the rare black rhino—as well as herds of zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and countless bird species around Lake Magadi.

A delightful picnic lunch will be served at one of the designated sites inside the crater, with your meal neatly packed in a hamper container—perfect for enjoying in the wild, surrounded by breathtaking views.

In the late afternoon, begin your scenic drive back to Arusha (approximately 3.5 to 4 hours), arriving in the evening for drop-off at your hotel or airport, marking the end of an unforgettable safari day.

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi, followed by a 2.5-hour drive to Marangu Gate (1,860 meters), the main entrance to Kilimanjaro National Park. After park registration, you’ll start your hike through the lush rainforest zone, home to colobus monkeys, exotic birds, and towering fig trees.

Accompanied by a professional mountain guide, you’ll trek to Mandara Hut (2,700 meters), a round-trip hike of approximately 7-8 kilometers taking 5-6 hours. At the hut, enjoy your packed lunch and take in panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including glimpses of the towering Kibo and Mawenzi peaks on clear days.

In the afternoon, descend back to Marangu Gate, where your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel in Arusha or directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
