With an early breakfast, we depart with a drive outside the city and start our amazing Best of Uganda family trip going via fascinating countryside sceneries. En route, we shall have a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking. This is the only place to see rhinos in Uganda in the wild. You will have an early hot lunch before continuing the drive via the famous Kaniyo Pabidi (Budongo Forest) and visit the top of the tranquil Murchison and Uhuru falls as an explosive dash of water at close range gushes through a narrow crevice producing a rainbow trademark.

We take the evening at leisure with a game drive through the park as we head to check in at our cozy home away from home. Retire the day at your lodge.

A brighter day starts with coffee break and this will be the order of the day as we get ready for a full day exploration of Murchison falls national park with a morning and evening game drive including a thrilling boat cruise on the Victoria Nile. You have the chance of seeing big cats hunting, Elephants, Giraffes, Buffalos, plus more as the checklist of mammals reaches 76. We continue browsing the Drive circuits to the Delta point for a cocktail of Birds and mammals. Enjoy a relaxed lunch and then have a 3-hour boat ride to the base of the falls where you get to see the Hippos (You have never seen more hippos yawning, grooming in their Pods anywhere else than here- Believe me you)! Nile Crocodiles, Elephants and a variety of beautiful bird species along the banks. If you are a keen birder, this might be your magnet to catch them.

Head into the forest of the Primate City of Kibale in the morning for chimpanzee trekking. This is a 3 - 4 hour experience. Kibale Forest national park is a rainy forest and a home to over 1500 Chimpanzees. Here you have the chance to see the chimps close up and capture shots of our closet cousins in the jungle in their frenzy exciting moods as they are grooming, building relationships, bringing up young ones, think and sharing food, plus rare bird species following them. In the forest, 9 different species of Monkeys are found so you have chances of seeing red colobus, red tailed monkey and bush babies on a great day. After the trek, your guide picks you and takes you back to the lodge. Relax for lunch and in the afternoon head out for a guided walking safari to Bigodi wetland sanctuary for a nature and community walk.

With breakfast at leisure, we explore the historical crater lakes along the way as we transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and drive further southwards with the Rwenzori ranges (Longest in Africa) in View or Drive through the Crater lakes in the Hills through to sample out the surprising Diversity of Savannah trees and wild life! Also, visit the Katwe salt mines. With your Binoculars along the peninsula, you have a magnificent view of Birds, animals like the ever-playing African Elephants in Waters as we sigh and reset Fatigue and stress, to point zero (it is necessary on this day’s game view).

We kick start the day with an early game drive that exposes us to diverse animals, Big 5 members Elephants, Buffalos, big cats- Lions, Leopards more times in the evening. Hunchback carnivals like Hyenas are spotted along the Circuits as we drive along this park. There is a rich bird life especially our version of storks in the wetland sports as we reach the Flamingos in the salt lakes.

At 3pm get ready for the Classic highlights on the 2hrs Boat cruise on the famous Kazinga channel, a 36kms channel linking Lake George and lake Edward. Look for land and water adapted Hippopotamuses Yawning and some slashing canines to each other and the National Geographical society Killing machine the Nile Crocodile gaping along the Banks! Spend the day tracking endangered Mountain Gorillas, spending close for an hour among them. See mothers keeping infants close as they knuckle walk on three limbs. Watch scampering toddlers reined in by an attentive father, who takes his job as protector of the family, quite personally. The distinct behavior of a mountain gorilla in the wild will demonstrate the bond that exists between primate and man — and not escaping the poignant fact, these creatures lie on the brink of extinction. This day we spend the night in the middle of Africa’s second deepest Lake on Kyahugye Island on Lake Bunyonyi. Have a relaxed evening as you stare at the fascinating lake of many birds from the veranda of your cozy cottage.
