Rift Valley Wonders – Into the Heart of Nakuru

You will be picked up from your hotel or airport in Nairobi early in the morning, beginning your scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley. Along the way, take a brief stop at a viewpoint to admire the panoramic views of the escarpment. Upon arrival at Lake Nakuru National Park in the late morning, check-in at the lodge and enjoy a relaxing lunch. Later in the afternoon, head out for a game drive, where you'll spot black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, and flamingos. The park is also home to buffalo, lions, and leopards, which can often be seen roaming the wooded and grassland areas. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

After breakfast and check-out, begin your drive towards the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. The journey will take you through dramatic Rift Valley landscapes, past small towns, and Maasai territory. Arrival at the Mara is expected by mid-afternoon. After lunch and some rest at your camp, you'll head out to visit a traditional Maasai village near the reserve. Immerse yourself in Maasai culture as you learn about their customs, warrior traditions, and daily life. Enjoy traditional dances, explore the manyattas (homes), and browse handcrafted beadwork and souvenirs. This cultural experience complements your upcoming wildlife adventures. Return to the lodge in the early evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Following an early breakfast, you will head out for a full day of exploration in the Mara. With packed picnic lunches, you'll venture deeper into the reserve, possibly reaching the Mara River area to see crocodiles and hippos. Throughout the day, you may encounter prides of lions, leopards lounging in trees, elephants in family herds, and cheetahs scanning the plains for prey.
