Day 2

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

You will be picked up from the lodge early in the morning to begin a scenic journey to Tarangire National Park, with packed lunch boxes for the day. After the game drive, we’ll head to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Tarangire is renowned for its large herds of elephants and its diverse landscapes, ranging from seasonal swamps to open savannah, all centered around the meandering Tarangire River. During the game drive, there’s a chance to witness a lion stalking its prey or spot a leopard lounging in the treetops above.

After breakfast, we depart for the Central Serengeti for an exciting day of wildlife viewing. Lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic spot within the park. In the afternoon, we’ll continue with game drives before heading to the camp for the evening.

The Serengeti is world-famous for its spectacular migrating herds of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes. Be prepared to witness resident predators leopards, cheetahs, and lions in action, playing their part in the timeless circle of life.

Wake up early and enjoy a hearty breakfast before we set off for the Northern Serengeti, near the Mara River, where the Great Migration is taking place. Our experienced safari guide will take you to the best vantage points to witness this breathtaking natural spectacle.

The Great Migration is the largest land animal movement on Earth, featuring massive herds of wildebeest, zebras, and other wildlife as they cross the Mara River into Kenya’s Maasai Mara. The river, teeming with crocodiles, adds to the drama of this awe-inspiring journey. The best time to witness the migration in this region is from July to early October each year.

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast, then continue with a game drive in the Northern Serengeti, keeping a special eye out for the Great Migration. Later in the day, we’ll drive back to the Central Serengeti, where we’ll stop for an overnight stay.

The Great Migration is the largest movement of land animals on the planet, as massive herds of wildebeest, zebras, and other species cross the crocodile-filled Mara River on their way to the Maasai Mara in Kenya. After breakfast, we depart for Ngorongoro to enjoy a game drive inside the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, carrying packed lunch boxes for the day.

This remarkable park is home to the largest unbroken caldera in the world and is considered one of Africa’s greatest natural wonders. The crater hosts around 30,000 large mammals year-round, including buffalo, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and the rare black rhino. It’s also a haven for birdlife, with species such as flamingos, eagles, and buzzards. Prepare to witness an incredible concentration of wildlife in a short amount of time.

After breakfast, relax at the lodge, and if time permits, enjoy a brief tour of Karatu town for some shopping. Later, you'll be transferred to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival at Zanzibar Airport, our driver will be waiting to provide a private transfer to your hotel in Stone Town.

After breakfast, you'll spend the day on a tour of Zanzibar's Stone Town with our local guide. You'll admire the narrow streets lined with many residential houses that preserve their original Swahili-Omani themes with exquisitely carved doorways, metal studs, overhanging balconies, and latticed windows. Due to the colonial presence and the many mosques commissioned by the olden Sultans of Zanzibar, you will see continental churches. You will also visit other interesting destinations here. Finally, we will transfer you to your beach hotel.
