Lake Manyara National Park - Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, we’ll descend 600 meters into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. This area is one of the most densely populated wildlife regions in Africa, home to around 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania's last remaining black rhinos. With a year-round water supply and abundant fodder, the crater supports a diverse array of wildlife, including herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, eland, warthogs, hippos, and giant African elephants.
The park is also known for its high concentration of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which can be tricky to spot. We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before traveling to Tarangire National Park. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at Fanaka Lodge.

Tarangire National Park - Moshi
After breakfast, we’ll head into Tarangire National Park for a morning game drive. The park follows the Tarangire River and features low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor, with natural vegetation primarily consisting of Acacia woodlands and giant African Baobab trees, along with expansive swamp areas in the south. During Tanzania's dry season, the river and swamps attract a multitude of wildlife, making it a prime location for spotting some of Africa's largest elephant herds.
Tarangire is also home to three rare species: the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, and a few Ashy Starlings. After a day of exploration, we’ll depart back to Moshi in the evening, concluding our adventure.
