Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park for Game

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll meet your safari guide for a short briefing before heading out to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2-hour drive). Tarangire is known for its iconic baobab trees, sweeping savannahs, and massive elephant herds. You’ll spend the day on scenic game drives along the Tarangire River, where wildlife gathers—expect to see elephants, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, lions, and possibly even leopards. Bird lovers will appreciate the park’s rich variety of species. Lunch will be a freshly prepared picnic inside the park. In the late afternoon, you'll exit the park and drive about 1.5 hours to the peaceful highlands of Karatu. After an early breakfast, your journey continues toward the legendary Serengeti. The drive takes approximately 2.5–3 hours, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views from the crater rim and might even spot wildlife along the way. As you enter the Serengeti, the vast golden plains unfold before you, home to the Great Migration (seasonal) and an abundance of wildlife. You’ll enjoy game drives en route to your luxury tented camp, keeping an eye out for cheetahs, lions, elephants, and countless other species. A picnic lunch will be served in the wild. Your guide will tailor the experience based on wildlife movement and your interests. From big cat sightings to peaceful giraffes grazing and herds of wildebeest on the move, every moment in the Serengeti is unforgettable. Enjoy a bush breakfast or picnic lunch depending on the day’s route. In the afternoon, continue your exploration through different habitats, learning about animal behavior, migration patterns, and the delicate ecosystem that supports it all. After breakfast, you’ll leave the Serengeti and begin your drive toward the Ngorongoro Crater (approx. 2-3 hours). Enjoy game viewing en route, with stops for wildlife sightings and scenic vistas. Upon arrival, descend 600 meters into the crater for a spectacular half-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to one of Africa’s densest wildlife populations, including the endangered black rhino, large lion prides, elephants, buffalo, and many more. The crater floor is a natural sanctuary with a unique ecosystem. After a picnic lunch inside the crater, you’ll ascend and continue to your luxurious lodge in the Ngorongoro Highlands. Nestled in the forested hills, this peaceful retreat offers warmth, tranquility, and sweeping views. Enjoy a farm-fresh dinner and relax. Overnight in the highlands.

From there, you’ll be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward travels.
