Golden Monkey Tracking then Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Following breakfast, head to the Volcanoes National Park offices for a briefing on tracking golden monkeys. You'll have the chance to hire a porter to assist with luggage either during the briefing or at the trailhead. After a 2-hour hike, you'll spot these playful creatures feeding in the trees and on the ground. Found in Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, golden monkeys are critically endangered due to human activities. They're social animals, living in groups of around 80, and are known for their comfort around cameras - a bonus for photographers. After spending time with these cute primates, you'll return to the starting point where your driver will be waiting. Next up: lunch, refreshments, and a drive to Bwindi.
