Nairobi to Olpejeta Conservancy

Your safari starts with your pick-up at 7:30 am from your hotel or airport in Nairobi and drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. We arrive shortly after noon and check into Maisha Sweetwaters Camp, enjoy a hot lunch and some time to relax. At 3 pm, You will then vist the Animal Sanctuary in Mt. Kenya Safari Club. Then later you will drive to your hotel for check- in to your hotel and then have some time to rest. In the evening you will enjoy a freshly prepared dinner and our overnight stay.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located in Laikipia near the foothills of Mount Kenya, is one of Kenya’s most impressive and impactful wildlife destinations. Renowned for its strong focus on conservation, Ol Pejeta is home to the last two remaining northern white rhinos in the world, offering a rare and emotional encounter with these iconic animals. The conservancy also hosts the Big Five and is the only place in Kenya where visitors can see chimpanzees at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary.

More Game Drives

Today's itinerary is flexible, you can discuss and arrange this with your guide. You can either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for a full-day game drive around 7:30 am with a picnic lunch, then return back to the camp late afternoon. Otherwise, you can depart at 6 am on an early morning game drive and return to your accommodation for breakfast, and relax for the rest of the day. We will depart at 4 pm on an afternoon game drive and return at 6.30 pm to the camp for dinner and our overnight stay.

We will visit the Sweetwater Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only one of its kind in Kenya. Here visitors can enjoy the unique opportunity of observing the orphaned chimps that vary in age from 2-15 yrs. Enjoy the sights and sounds of man's closest relative. It is also home to the last two of the northern white rhinos that remain in the world.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Depending on your flight details, you will organize the details of your departure from Ol pejeta with your guide. You will be transferred to your Nairobi location or to the airport for your home-bound flight.

In Nairobi you could also request optional excursions: Giraffe Centre, National Museum, Bomas of Kenya, Kazuri Beads Centre or the Karen Blixen Museum.
