3-Day Tsavo East and Taita Hills Safari/Salt Lick

Drive from Mombasa to Tsavo East

Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel/Airport/SGR/Kilindini Port in Mombasa at 5:00 AM. Drive along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway and arrive at Bachuma gate at around 9:00 AM. Begin your game watch and visit various places including Aruba Dam, a waterhole built by the British Army in 1952 during the Colonial period.

After the game drive, check in at the lodge in time for lunch. Serve a buffet lunch. After lunch, relax until 4:00 PM and then begin an evening game drive until sundown. Later, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Voi Safari Lodge.

Tsavo East to Taita hill Sanctuary

Wake up early in the morning at 6:00 am and go for a game drive till 8;00am come back at the lodge for breakfast. Check out and en route to Taita Hills Sanctuary. Enjoy an amazing drive along the way with the view of the diverse land scape. Upon arrival at Taita Hills Lodge, you will check in, then go for a short game drive come back at the lodge and have lunch, relax for a while at the lodge/saltlick and then head out for a game drive in the sanctuary searching for lions and other wildlife, until sunset.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at salt lick, its imaginative structure. A complex of rondavel sits on stilts over a series of water holes. These two-story towers, topped by peaked thatch roofs connected by open-air-bridges, create an African fantasy of a medieval fortress. The lodge has been built with game viewing in mind. The structure provides you with a panoramic view of the sanctuary, offering spectacular views of the landscape and wildlife.

Taita hills sanctuary to Mombasa

Enjoy an early morning breakfast and then depart for a half-day game drive. Around noon, depart for Mombasa, taking part in a game drive and lunch along the way. Upon arrival in Mombasa, be dropped off at your beach hotel.
