Day 1

Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park

Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park

Early in the morning, you’ll be picked up from your hotel in Zanzibar and transferred to the airport for your flight to Arusha, where your exciting safari adventure begins. Upon arrival at Arusha Airport, our team will welcome you and introduce you to your driver-guide. You’ll then join your fellow travelers in a 4x4 safari Jeep and begin your journey to Tarangire National Park, about a two-hour scenic drive through northern Tanzania’s countryside.

Once at the park, registration will be completed at the gate before you head out on a full-day game drive through the stunning landscapes of Tarangire. Known for its massive baobab trees and large herds of elephants, the park is also home to giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and various antelope species. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, surrounded by nature and possibly even wildlife sightings nearby. After a day full of adventure, your guide will take you to your lodge or campsite for dinner and overnight rest.

After breakfast, you’ll embark on your final game drive in the Serengeti, making the most of your last moments in this incredible park. With your camera ready, you’ll explore the vast plains one more time in search of lions, cheetahs, elephants, and more. Enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch in the heart of the bush, surrounded by the sounds of nature.

In the afternoon, your journey continues with a scenic game drive for the route to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you leave the Serengeti behind, you’ll witness dramatic changes in landscape, from the endless plains to the lush, rolling highlands of Ngorongoro. Along the way, there’s still a chance to spot wildlife, especially in the transitional areas between ecosystems. By evening, you’ll arrive at your lodge or camp near the crater rim, where you’ll settle in, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the next day’s adventure into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.

After an early breakfast, you’ll descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater for a final game drive and an unforgettable wildlife experience. Known for its incredibly dense population of animals, the crater offers an excellent chance to spot the Big Five, including the rare black rhino, in a single day. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the designated sites on the crater floor, surrounded by stunning scenery and abundant wildlife.

Ngorongoro is not only a UNESCO World Heritage Site but also a unique conservation area where the Maasai people and their livestock coexist peacefully with wild animals, an inspiring example of harmony between humans and nature.

In the afternoon, you’ll ascend from the crater and begin your scenic drive back to Arusha, where your safari adventure concludes. From there, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your return flight to Zanzibar Island, bringing your journey full circle with incredible memories to last a lifetime.
