Dar es Salaam - Nyerere - Game Drive

We will pick you up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam at 07hr00 (or from the airport) and drive to Nyerere National Park. The trip takes 4.5 hours, and you’ll arrive in time for lunch at the camp. In the afternoon, you will go on a game drive to explore the park.

You will get close to animals like elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, waterbuck, and others as they move through the wild. The game drive will take you near rivers and open plains, where animals gather. The tour will run to 18hr00, offering great chances to see wildlife.

Game Drive

You will spend the whole day exploring Nyerere National Park. Your day will begin with breakfast at 06:00 AM, and then you’ll head into the park for a full-day game drive. You’ll travel in a 4x4 vehicle, which is perfect for taking photos and reaching different parts of the huge park.

Nyerere, part of the Selous Game Reserve, is the biggest wildlife area in Africa, covering 54,600 square kilometers. The park is well known for having many elephants. You may also see lions, wild dogs, buffalo, bushbuck, impalas, elands, baboons, zebras, and greater kudus.

Walking-Dar es Salaam

At 06hr30 in the morning, you'll set out on a guided walking safari before breakfast. This experience offers a special and close-up connection with nature, letting you truly feel the magic of the African wilderness. You'll have a great chance to spot giraffes, zebras, elephants, and enjoy excellent birdwatching along the way. An armed ranger will accompany you for safety during the two-hour walk.

After the walking safari, your driver will meet you at the reserve gate for the journey back to Dar es Salaam. You'll arrive in the late afternoon, and we’ll drop you off at your hotel, the airport, or the ferry terminal—whichever suits your travel plans best.
