Day 1

Diani Beach Escape to Tsavo East Wilderness

Diani Beach Escape to Tsavo East Wilderness

We will pick you up in the morning from your hotel or cottage and start your journey via Mombasa Island. Before entering Tsavo East National Park, we’ll make a short stop at the Kilimanjaro Curio Shop. After the break, we’ll head straight into the park to start spotting wildlife.

As you enter, you’ll notice the elephants look red. This is because they love rolling in the dust and mud, which helps protect their skin and keeps them cool.

Tsavo East, together with Tsavo West, forms the largest park in East Africa and the second largest in Africa after Kruger National Park. It is home to many animals that are easy to spot, including elephants, lions, zebras, antelopes, giraffes, buffaloes, gazelles, waterbucks, and many birds.

You’ll arrive in time for lunch, then check in and relax until 4:00 PM. In the afternoon, we’ll head out for a game drive to search for more animals. After sunset, we’ll return for dinner and an overnight stay.

Tsavo East to West Safari Journey

Tsavo East to West Safari Journey

After an early breakfast, we check out and enjoy a final game drive in Tsavo East as we exit through Manyani Gate. We then head to Tsavo West, arriving at Mtito Gate after about 1.5 hours. Our first stop is Mzima Springs, where a short walk brings you close to crocodiles and hippos. Afterward, we continue to the hotel.

Tsavo West’s landscape is lush with dense vegetation and green hills, making every game drive an exciting and surprising experience. We arrive at Ngulia Safari Lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later in the afternoon, we drive to the Rhino Sanctuary, hoping to spot rhinos in their protected habitat. Afterward, we return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
