Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, a representative of Sterling Travel will pick you up from your hotel or airport between 6:30am and 7:00am. From here, we drive west towards the Masai Mara National Reserve with a stopover at the viewpoint. Later, we will stop for lunch at Narok town and continue our travel. We arrive in the reserve in time for an afternoon game drive.

Masai Mara National Reserve is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Although July, August, and September are when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year-round. The famous Masai people live within the dispersal area of the reserve. Your dinner and overnight stay are at the camp, where the accommodation provides bed and bedding, hot showers, and flush toilets.

Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, we proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve offers an extensive road and track network, allowing for close-range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodiles. An optional activity is to visit a Masai village where you pay extra directly to the Masai. Another optional activity today is an early morning hot air balloon ride, after which you depart on the full day game drive. We can assist you in arranging the balloon ride at an additional fee. Dinner and overnight are at the camp.

Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

After breakfast, the driver will pick you up and proceed to a nearby Masai village for a tour of the village. This activity costs an additional $10. From here, we leave the Mara region and head towards Nairobi with a hot lunch en route. Upon arrival in Nairobi, we will drop you off at your hotel.

Today, there is an option to pass by Lake Naivasha for a boat ride at an extra cost of $20 per person.
