Heather Richardson

Heather Richardson is a British travel and conservation journalist writing mostly for UK and US publications, such as the BBC, Departures, the Telegraph and the Sunday Times. She has lived in Cape Town, South Africa since early 2017 and travels regularly around the country and continent for work and pleasure. Her favourite safari destination is difficult to pin down, but it’s probably between Gorongosa National Park in Mozambique and the Makgadikgadi salt pans in Botswana. She is a big fan of African cities, too, and hopes tourists will start spending more time in cities like Kigali, Johannesburg and Brazzaville en route to their safari or ecotourism destinations.
