Your entry point to Kenya will most likely be Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), 15km/9mi southeast of the capital city Nairobi.

Hell’s Gate National Park is easily reached by car via a tar road from Nairobi. The park is 100km/62mi northwest of Nairobi (about 2 hours’ drive*) and 18km/11mi west of Naivasha. As there is no accommodation in the park, most people visit as a day trip from Lake Naivasha (which is 1km/0.6mi away).

Naivasha can be a convenient stopover between Nairobi and Masai Mara National Reserve. The distance from Naivasha to the Masai Mara is 170km/106mi and the driving time is about 3½ hours*.

*Driving times are only a rough indication. You should always consider the possibility of significant delays.
