Your point of entry to Madagascar is most likely Ivato International Airport (TNR) in Antananarivo (Tana). With most safari packages your tour guide will pick you up from the airport and provide transport to your accommodation.

Mandrare River Camp at Ifotaka Forest is located in a remote corner of southern Madagascar. The easiest way to get here is by scheduled charter flight from Antananarivo. During the high season, from July to November, departures are guaranteed and on a per seat basis. The flights are scheduled to combine a stay at the sister camp Manafiafy at Sainte Luce Reserve.

A cheaper, but less reliable and less convenient option, is to book a regular flight to Taolagnaro (Fort Dauphin). A road transfer from Taolagnaro to the camp is included in the camp package. The bumpy drive takes 3½ hours*.

*Driving times are only a rough indication. You should always consider the possibility of significant delays.
