Great time in a very well run park
We found the scenery to be spectacular. Everything I expected of the Karoo. We saw lions and a variety of wildlife but the carrying capacity of a semi desert environment meant that wildlife was scarce. The staff are well dressed, friendly and efficient. The buildings are spotless. A big compliment to management who obviously run the park with great committment and dedication.
Certainly a great place to spend 2 or 3 days.

It was our first night in a camper and in the National park with magnificent view, tranquility. Caravan site was really nice.
tranquil surrounding, excellent service and a lovely chalet
We know more or less all the park in SA but had not been to KNP. So off we went , took a leisurely drive from Stellenbosch to the KNP and stayed for 5 days in a well equipped chalet . Knowing more or less all other SA park.s ,we ob visually compared everything with our experience in other parks.
In short: if you are looking for relaxing place, then that is the place for you. It defiantly was for us !
wildlife: much more then we expected, had a Rhino 100 meter in front of us,Lion up the mountain pass and all the other animals and birds.
Scenery: absolutely stunning.
Weather : the way you expect in March
Accommodation: super
Food: very good and plenty full, very friendly staff.
Transportation: very clean and modern car for outdoor drives with a good guide.
Highlights: Our whole stay was a highlight . One of it was a bit more special when we were alone with a ranger at "Doornkoek Picnic|Braai Area ", had a lovely braai and could ask all the questions only a "Tourist" want to ask .
Summary: We loved it so much that we are now booked in again end of August 2019 , this time even with a longer stay than last time.

Very remote but Karroo had an exceptional amount of fossils which is really cool if that is your thing otherwise we mostly just saw Impala

Karoo National Park is a scenic gem in the heart of the arid Karoo. Wildlife is quite limited and mostly comprises various antelope species but it has a unique character and fascination. Accommodation is typical National Parks self catering chalets and there is an on-site restaurant. A fossil trail and various guided and unguided walks are available. It can get very hot in summer.

What a drive we had through the Karoo - the scenery is outstanding. For camera enthusiasts, you simply don't know which way to focus.

Very quaint Chalets , along the rise ,facing towering Mountains and Valleys.
Dinosaur walk , plant Identification walk. It is the Park most used by tourists , coming from the Cape or going to!
But a short stay will yield many bird and animal species
