Untouched , Undisturbed Paradise
The wildlife and scenery are out of the world, they are more beutiful than depicted on TV or books or documentories you must see it to experience it. Weather is great in the cooler dry months, havn't experienced it in other months. Transportation can be tricky as you could get short changed with a bad vehicle ! Insist on what you paid for. Guides can be both ends excellent or casual we were lucky we got all 3 great guides Off course after bluntly refusing one after his casual attitude.
Accommodation and locations of the SERENA Lodges are superb except their showers which are cramped tight and quite an exercise to bathe !. WARNING : Once in Kenya you are hooked, you want to come again and again and again ! Which we plan to do ;) My salutes and highest recommendation of the SAFARI BOOKINGS who have done a faboulous job of honest, and easy to navigate site compiling almost all Safari operators / Tour agencies ! You are sure of a great honest deal if booking through them. Our special thanks to Mr. Martin and his wonderful team of DALLAGO TOURS who delivered a great service for us all through , you can't go wrong with them !!.

Very pleasant and I am glad that Safai Bookings gave me a wide choice of programmes and prices.
I travelled with Lenchada which offered a varied tour at a very reasonable cost, including all transportation, accommodation and food. We had a full day, plus an evening and a morning, in Masai Mara, and long mornings at Lake Nakuru and Hell's Gate Reserves. I also had a delightful boat ride on Lake Naivasha.
Rhino Camp just outside Masai Mara was a delight, and young Pixie set up a campfire early to relax before dinner. The other two lodges were also comfortable, and the food good though the general menu was very much the same everywhere.
The only drawback was a terrible vehicle for the first two days, and an inexperienced driver which made it worse, though we still saw lots of lions and elephant and giraffe. And Joshua who took over with another van for Lake Nakuru was excellent. And the flamingoes there were fantastic, as were the plentiful white rhinos.

Fantastic!
We visitited Masaii Mara, Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha on our safari. Masaii Mara is amazing! Beautiful scenery, lots of animals and nice weather. You can easily skip Laka Naivasha. Not so much to see or experience. The lodging was not nice and staff not so friendly. Lake Nakuru, hardly any flamingos, that is the main attraction at the lake. Did see lions and giraffs though.
Fantastic
Everything was wonderful in Rhino Camp, we saw big five and every animal we looked for. The weather was nice and fresh, the trip could not be any better

wonderful
The safari was great.
We went 5 days (4 nights), 2 massai mara, 1 night lake nakuru, 1 night lagop naivasha. they respected the accommodations, less in massai mara, which was not the one hired, it was fine, but it did not have the views that the other camp had in description.
They changed the order of visit to the lakes, and we ended up doing more kilometers and time in the van. the visits to the lakes were in a hurry and very fast, but they were very nice places. Massai Mara is the king of the parks, but he deserves to see these two as well, or the Amboseli who spoke well of him.
be careful with the entrances to the park, we are supposed to pay 2 days of park, but we only use 24h, and better to talk about it with the driver. Beware, they are 70-80 dollars apart.
the time to make the safari great. We saw the big five, few elephants, only 2 male lions, but very well and up close, a show, the rhinoceros great but not too close. The driver wanted to show us the animals. It was a shame not to see the migration, the animals were ready to cross but we did not see them, we were looking but nothing, although the same day others saw it, our driver did not come back in the afternoon to see it (he was in a hurry to leave the park and pay only 24 hours) ...
otherwise everything is great, food is good, accommodation is good, price is great. 90 -100 dollars a day.
we would hire again

The most leaders are asolutely unreliable + the company dont keep promises!Get hurt by a guide
- The wildlife was absolutely various and we saw a lot of things.
- The food was most of the time great
- The accommodation was always perfect
- And our first guide was nice
BUT then we get a new guide. Ok we didnt get him, because Dan never arrrived and we didnt get any information about this, even when the hotel called him a lot of times. So we couldnt do the boattrip. The next day, we get a new guide. He was so terrible and drove his car badly. We asked him four times to drive a lit slower and to watch the streets (not his phone). When we finished lunch, we had to wait for him, because he wanted to talk and wait for other drivers. The restaurant was empty then, all the groups left the restaurant before us, even that we were the first group who was arriving in the locals and had to wait after lunch a half our extra for him.
He had just a normal car, so that we get in stuck in the safari. After that he was so nervous, that when I started to get in, he started to drive. (With my open door) -> so I get hurt and was falling on the ground. He was not nice after this and didnt ask me how I feel.
After we had also an disappointment with the company and Dan. Our first guide promised us, that Dan will help us with our camera, which we lost at the airport. Yes but noone came. We told the company about this promise and they told us, they called Dan in this moment and he will come now. But Dan didnt know about anything and was not willing to come. We told the company but they dont care.
So when they hadnt change our guide, I would give 5 Stars, but after our first guide everything was bad..... And honestly, with every other company you will see the wildlife. Choose someone else!!!!!!!!

Amazing experience that everyone needs to do.
My safari experience in Kenya was above and beyond my expectations! The company we booked it with, Spirit of Kenya based in Nairobi, delivered exactly what they promised and more. Our guide and driver George was friendly, informative and generous and extremely helpful. He helped make this the best holiday experience we have ever had. I never realised there were so many animals in Africa. We saw everything possible except a leopard. Best experience when a herd of elephants came to our hotel within touching distance! Staff and local people and also people from the tribes were so friendly. Would fully recommend or indeed insist that everyone goes on Safari in Kenya!
The safari itself was wonderful but the organisation was poor.
The wildlife was truly wonderful, I have to admit. The organisation and communication by the tour operator Hyrax Safary could be a lot better. On the first day to Maasai Mara we had a breakdown on one of our cars. I know it can happen, thats not the problem. But the cars could be in better condition and in a situation like that the communication is important so that all guests are informed at any whats going on. So we couldnt go on the game drive on day one as we booked it. We arrived too late at the camp. There was the next problem. There werent enough rooms for all the incoming guests; some ppl of the group had to share the room although they booked an own one. The other things were good and the driver tried his best to show us all the animals. But again his communication level was poor and he only spoke to us when he was asked something.

One of the best experiences I have seen in my life
We could see many wild animals, close and in a safe way.the food and accomodation was not bad at all.we had a van as our transportation and max as our guide and driver...dificult roads, but he drove well and gave us information about places and animals.very good in quality/price.mark,our assistant in Nairobi, helped us a lot....thank you very much.
A paradise for wildlife
Wanderful stay. We visited Samburu, Baringo Lake, Bogoria lake and Nakuru lake during the first week : very interesting nature reserves, easy to visit with your own car.
Then we had a 3 days safari in Maasai Mara reserve, where we could see all kinds of wild animal, and even cheetas !
Only one disppontment : Lamu, which is in a very bad condition and dirty, despite it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Have a great trip to Kenya !
