Absolutely stunning country with incredible variety of wildlife and which does NOT permit hunting!
I have now visited Kenya as a tourist nine times! I have been to many different national parks more than once - Samburu, Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Nairobi and Tsavo East - and other areas such as Laikipia Plateau and Lakes Nakuru and Naivasha including Elsamere. Every time there is something new to experience! We have seen prides of lions with cubs, a bachelor group of elephants systematically dismantling an electric fence to reach more attractive trees to eat and a hyena den to name but a few experiences. We have even seen a leopard with two cubs crossing the road in broad daylight - almost unheard of! Kenya is the cradle of mankind and it's certainly become my spiritual home. We used to book with international travel companies but a few years ago we decided to find a Kenyan company so that the profit goes to Kenyans and we fortuitously found Right Choice Tours and Safaris who have been excellent and are now our operator of choice. Kenyans we have met have all been welcoming and we have made a lot of friends. The fact that Kenya does not allow any hunting was the reason we chose Kenya as our African destination in the first place and we have never regretted it for a moment. Visitors are armed with cameras, not guns. Perfect destination!

Live the dream
Spending time in the Maasai Mara is like being in a documentary, there's always something happening around you. The sheer grandeur of the landscapes is breathtaking. I also had the opportunity to spend some time in Amboseli to contemplate the splendid Kilimandjaro, also a highlight of my 2 weeks Kenyan trip. Treat yourself to this slice of paradise.

Amazing wildlife
An enjoyable holiday out safari was very good. I would however recommend flying to the Masai Mara rather than travelling by road as it is a long trip from Nairobi and often bumpy. We went to Carnivore restaurant in Nairobi, it was fun to try crocodile and ostrich the other delicacies I didn’t try. Mombasa will be great to visit when the new road is installed it is an experience jostling with the mini vans, tuk tuks and Lorrie’s. The staff wherever we went were friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. It is definitely an experience I would recommend people to travel to Kenya

Amazing experience!
We contacted Balu Travel for a 3 day safari in Masai Mara in June. We had an amazing experience as we also had an amazing guide, Steve, who was very knowledgeable and went the extra mile to offer us the most on each day. We saw the Big Four (as we couldn’t see the rhino this time ;) ), a beautiful sunrise and sunset and mesmerising landscapes. The accommodation at Mara Olodare was good, clean, spacious, the beds were comfortable and the food was also good. On the last day we visited a Maasai village and it was also a great experience.

Beautiful country. Must visit
This was my first ever visit to Africa. I and my wife loved it. Saw the wildlife and enjoyed the local hospitality.

Life Changing
I recently went on a four day safari to Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru as well as a half day tour of Nairobi National Park. Kenya is exactly how I imagined Africa to be and better. There is nothing like being next to a herd of two dozen elephants roaming and feeding, having a male lion look you in the eye, seeing a leopard pop out of a bush or unexpectedly seeing a serval with kittens. Kenya has great tourism infrastructure and the guides are incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and dedicated. The landscape is magnificent from the open plains to the mountains and lakes of the Great Rift Valley. Go here- it will change your life.
Here is a list of the species we saw:
African Elephant
Maasai Giraffe/Rothschilds Giraffe
African Lion
African Leopard
White Rhinoceros
African Buffalo
River Hippopotamus
Plains Zebra
Blue Wildebeest
Serval
Spotted Hyena
Black Backed Jackal
Warthog
Olive Baboon
Vervet Monkey
Banded Mongoose
Rock Hyrax
Bush Hyrax
Common Eland
Defassa Waterbuck
Impala
Thomson’s Gazelle
Grants Gazelle
Topi
Coke’s Hartebeest
Ostrich
Greater Flamingo
Lesser Flamingo
Secretary Bird

People are friendly and gracious in Kenya
We were picked up at our hotel in Nairobi (Kozi Suites, which is an acceptable place to sleep), and had a safari to Amboseli, Naivasha, Lake Nakura, and Masai Mara. The parks are beautiful and well maintained. Animals were plentiful (except leopards, we were not able to find any) and they did not seem to mind the Land Rovers. The flamingos which are usually at Lake Nakura have migrated to another lake, so we did not see too many.
There are many safari companies to choose from, we chose well, Ramja Safaris. Our guide was excellent and had private education as well as over 20 years experience, he knew what he was doing and where all the best picture taking spots were. The lodges were excellent and the staff were gracious. Remember to tip as this is a poor country and a tip goes a long way. .

Do not miss travel destination
Safari in Kenya was an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience. My friend and I went on a 4 day safari from Nairobi to Masai Mara and Nakuru. Masai Mara is a huge African savannah full of wildlife. On our first day in the park we saw 4 of the Big 5 within just a few hours. Nakuru is a smaller park centered around a lake home to over 300 species of bird. It is also one of the best places in the world to see rhinos. We saw several black and white rhinos during our day in the park. In between both parks we also made a stopover at a different lake where we took a boat ride to see hippos in the water and take a walking safari on the lake's peninsula. The walking safari was one of my favorite moments from the trip. We were within 15 ft of zebra and giraffes. I highly recommend not to miss the incredible wildlife this destination has to offer.

A fascinating beauty where time slows down
We did 6 day safari with Meektrails in June. Our trip started from Amboseli National Park (2 days), then Lake Nakuru (1 day), and finally Maasai Mara (2 days). Every second was magical. We witnessed a completely different environment, vegetation, climate, and animals every day. We witnessed incredible things at moments we least expected. It was a trip beyond what we imagined. It was great to see animals in their natural habitat and witness their communication with each other. We need more than a week to visit this beautiful country, I hope we can come again. Finally, thanks to our tour operator. Thanks to Meektrails Safaris, everything was amazing. Before the trip, Eliud took care of everything closely and planned the tour according to our requests. He was great with communication. Our guide Lukas smells the animals, as they say :) He was a friendly, calm, expert, understanding, and wonderful guide. This trip wouldn't have been as wonderful without them.
