Absolutely Magical (especially during the off-season!)
Before setting off for this trip, I was nervous about traveling during the off-season/wet season, as I wasn't sure if it would affect the possibilities of sightseeing and the success of the game drives. However, my experience in Masai Mara was incredible and I managed to see so much wildlife in the three days there (including 4 of the big 5).
I was lucky to arrive right after some heavy rains which made it so the lush vegetation attracted a lot of herbivores out. I was also lucky that my guide was very involved and interested in the success of my trip and actively seek out opportunities for us to see new animals.
We occasionally saw other cars but due to the off-season, my trip truly felt like a private tour. I would definitely recommend going during this time!

What an amazing experience!
I hesitated a lot between a private trip (but I was alone) and a group trip. And in the choice of tour operator.
I have no regrets about the group trip, Sermon Safaris or our fantastic guide.
The guide had a real desire to help us discover as much as possible, a perfect driving style, unfailing patience and a keen eye for spotting the slightest animal in the savannah.
I brought back hundreds of photos and memories.
I got to see all 5 bigs.
Without a doubt, for the avid vyager that I am, an unforgettable experience.
I'll be going back with my family, husband and daughter, and my friends have already made a date because they loved the photos they took.
Thanks to the guide and tour operator

We loved our stay in Masai Mara. The nature , weather, wildlife and the scenery was at its best.
We had a 4day stay in Masai Mara and 1day stay at Lake Nakuru. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lodge we stayed Ashnil Mara camp had a beautiful setting , the staff were very welcoming . Our tour operators “safariline defender tours ’ were easy to book with and the tour guide gave his best for my family of 4 to ensure we see the wildlife at its best and up close .
The one day trip to lake Nakuru was worth it as we missed out on sighting Rhinos at MM and were able to see at Nakuru. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kenya

Amazing Trip for diverse group
My whole group found Kenya a wonderful place to visit. Facilities were great (and not just for an emerging market). Wildlife were fantastic. People were great hosts and always helpful.

Going on safari in Amboselin was a touching and moving experience, wondrous and awe inspiring.
Going on safari in Kenya was utterly amazing: the scenic beauty, the many animals I saw at close range, the lodging, the guide. Everything was perfect and out of this world. It really made me feel big and small at the same time. I would highly recommend.
Wonderful country, would come again
Great country and incredible wild life. Also, there are nice bars and restaurants in Nairobi, and the cultural life is rich and diverse. I would like to come back.

Amazing experience in Masai Mara
We booked a 3-day safari in Masai Mara. We were picked up at our hotel and to meet the rest of the group in Nairobi and then travel to the park.
When we got there lunch was served and afterwards we left for an evening drive.
The next day we got up early to spend all day in the park and we got to see 4 of the big five. Rhino is very hard to spot, but we did see a leopard!
Our driver; Kikitou, went out of his way to make sure we could see as much animals as possible. He was the most positive and happy person, really nice to have such a great driver!
The last day we went to visit the Masai village. Those people try to rip you off, so be prepared. It was nice to see the village, but their attitude is not so nice, as they just want to take as much money from as they can. Our driver Kikitou made them clear that we had already paid for the visit and then they were ok, but still we had to buy the most ugly necklace to support them (they really try to manipulate you, so you would feel sorry for them).
Overall the trip was organised great and I can recommend it to everybody!

Gaps in infrastructure, but beautiful wildlife
More than anything, a good guide and driver makes all the difference! We went to Maasai Mara through Perfect Wilderness Tours and Safaris, and Khalifa absolutely made our trip. He was knowledgeable, insightful, funny, and a good driver (despite the extremely rough terrain). More than that, he's fostered good relationships with everyone in and around the park, from rangers to locals to other guides, which gave him an extra edge in creating a memorable experience. If you book with Perfect Wilderness, ask to have him as a guide!
With accommodations, I would recommend skipping the luxury spots and sticking with a basic option. Lenchada Tourist Camp wasn't cushy, but had everything we needed. When you're only going to be there to sleep and have breakfast, it's not worth it to spend the extra money.
One thing I can't recommend is the Maasai cultural experience. If you want to support the tribe beyond your park fees, I would donate to a community fund and skip the show.

Bucket list come true
I found myself unexpectedly in Nairobi, originally I had come to Kenya for a medical mission trip but had gotten ill and had to cut short my time there. I love to do wildlife photography and wanted to see Nairobi national park and Amboseli National Park before I had to leave. I contacted. Wilson at Masai Mara train .He was available to do both safaris, he made the arrangements on short notice and I appreciated his flexibility. He was my guardian angel. As a woman traveling alone and having some physical limitations. Wilson was very accommodating. . I told him the kind of pictures I wanted, he and Rufus were so knowledgeable about the animals and the environment and very patient, making sure I was satisfied with the pictures. They even helped another traveler who was stranded. I was so excited to see Mt. Kilamonjaro and so many different animals. I was able to visit Tsalvo west Nation park,Nairobi National Park and Amboseli national park. Each was spectacular, beautiful and different. If I make it back to Kenya, Masai Mara is next on my list!
