A unique experience with the wild

It started with the beautiful weather sunshine during the day with a light breeze around 20 deg celcius.. cold in the night but it was ok in the tent and enjoyed the campfire in the common areas at the camp.
The masai mara safari in a 4x4 Land Cruiser and stay in a camp in this beautiful natural reserve is not to be missed..we stayed for 2 nights in Ashnil Mara camp; overall the service was nice, pleasant staff and food was good .. we really enjoyed the game drives and the whole experience in the wild with our tour guide Martin from Earthwings Tours and Safaris.
We didn’t have much time to explore Nairobi but we enjoyed our tree house stay in Ngong and Talisman restaurant is not to be missed for its decoration, ambiance, food, service; enjoyed a super delightful lunch and the art exhibition across the restaurant..
we definitely recommend the trip to Kenya!

Kenya has been wonderful to us. Tsavo East has so many elephants and we had the luck to go there in January so many baby elephants roaming around.

Even got to see a hypo and cheetas, which are quite rare

Awesome, breathtaking, unbelievable is how my wife and I describe our trip.

Kenya offers a diversity of culture, environments, and a snapshot of a country experiencing the impact of climate change at the same time tremendous growth and an expansion. In Nairobi, a city of more almost 5 million, there are tall buildings going up everywhere. We never realized the elevation of much of Kenya, at least where we traveled, is above 5,000 feet or that a typical day is 12 hours of sunlight and night. Traveling back and forth across while in Ol Pajeta Conservancy the equator was an unexpected treat.

Flying between the major parks is much quicker than the long drives, but doing so misses the rural areas, massive farm lands, and the towns at major intersections where locals sell almost everything along the roadways, including the freshest of fruit and vegetables. Going by car, you share the road with a variety of transportation from trucks, large buses, crowded vans that travel between somewhere and somewhere else, donkey carts and small motorcycles that carry
Read more people and their lives. We saw two men on a motorcycle and between them an auto transmission and one guy had a washer/dryer balanced behind him.

We stopped at Thompson Waterfall for a stunning view of the power of water in an area surrounded by arid landscape. The conservancies and reserves are different in topography and landscape but they overpower the visitor by how far one can see. On two nights while in Masai Mara we had thunderstorms and the lightening provided an momentary stunning view of the landscape.

The people we met; hotel employees, clerks in stores, local vendors along the roadways, the staff in the lodges were friendly, wanted to know where we traveled from and happy we were visiting Kenya.

We had an amazing trip, a wonderful time in Kenya thanks to Safaribookings, com and our selected tour company, Amazing Memories Safaris. We have over 2,700 hundred pictures to remind us of our visit.

The whole Trip was so wonderful. You need more time/day to be able to visit as many places as posible.

We were lucky we had the best of the amboseli and tsavo east.

Our trip to Kenya with my husband and 3 children (15,13,11) exceeded every expectation. The safari was amazing, we saw every animal up close. Our guide was brilliant and our accommodation was fabulous.
I can't recommend it highly enough.

Both Nairobi and the Wildlife Reserves are beautiful and fantastic.

We live in The Netherlands. My 21 year old son and I (father) went for two weeks, 1 week in Nairobi and the 2nd on Safari, to see 3 wildlife reserves. The people in Nairobi were very welcoming and very nice. In our hotel and everywhere else, everyone was very helpful. The city is beautiful and interesting.

The reserves were everything we were hoping for and more, especially Masai Mora. We had a very good driver / guide for our safari, which makes all the difference. Really fantastic to see the animals. Accommodations in Nairobi and during safari were all excellent. Food is good, and service is excellent. There is absolutely nothing I could say about our shared experience in Kenya - a real opportunity for some good ole father-son bonding - which would be less than laudatory. I intend to return soon!

The whole tour was excellent, the safari in the Maasai Mara Reserve, the visit to Lake Naivasha and Nakuru National Park. It was a magical experience. Richard our guide, a very nice person, and he was always looking for us to see the best of these places.

Once in a lifetime experience into the wild savannah

I had booked a 3-days safari in Masai Mara through a website named "safaribookings" and I inquired a few options for Masai Mara, one of the best one seemed to be "Explorer Kenya".
Everything was well coordinated and our driver (Martin) pick up in Nairobi was extremely punctual and professional.
We enjoyed every minute of the journey and were lucky enough to spot all the big five within the end of the second day.
We stayed at the camp "Ashnil Mara" which was amazing. Meals and service was perfect. Only negative point was no internet connection in any area of the hotel during the first 1,5 days, then they had it fixed.
Nature was gorgeous and all the staff at the camp was simply amazing.
The commute from Nairobi to the camp is pretty long (some 6-7 hours) so be prepared. The 4x4 vehicle was comfortable and our driver/guide was very knowledgeable about wildlife including birds.
All in all, a fantastic experience to remember for the rest of my life.
