Experience of a lifetime.
Absolutely stunning seeing the wildlife roaming free in its natural habitat. We visited in Kenya's winter months so the weather was ideal for us - not too hot.
Our accommodation was fine, tented but with "en suite" shower and bathroom. The food was remarkably good in the circumstances even the morning when the electricity generator failed.
The star of the show was our guide, Peter, who was knowledgeable, funny and very considerate throughout our time with him.

We loved Kenya
Everything about this holiday was fantastic! We decided on Spirit of Kenya for our safari and this proved to be a very good decision. Liaison with Tiago from the start in deciding on the itinerary, accommodation etc was outstanding with emails replied to immediately and helpful suggestions and information always provided. Paying the deposit by transfer was straightforward. Transfers to and from the airport were included and Moses was a good driver - returning to the airport he even parked up and walked us to our queue to go into security. On the safari we had George as our guide and he was outstanding - extremely professional, friendly and a very safe driver. We had a van with a pop up roof and it was able to do everything that the more expensive land cruisers could do. We had a 7 day (6 nights) Safari and visited Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Mara and Lake Nakuru - all were fantastic. Accommodation and food were great throughout (we chose Comfort ‘Level 2’ from the 4 levels offered and it was perfect for us). We would not hesitate to recommend this company for a safari - we had no issues whatsoever. We stayed in Nairobi for a few days before and after the safari and we visited Nairobi National Park, the Giraffe Centre, the Elephant Sanctuary, the Karen Blixen Museum and Karura Forest. We also had a couple of pool days at the Intercontinental, where we were staying and which was also very good, with excellent security and friendly staff. The weather was generally sunny and warm (around 22- 25 degrees during the day in the 2 weeks we were there (cooler early in the morning and late evening). Kenya is a beautiful country and we found the people we met to be so friendly.

Trip of a lifetime to see epic migration
The safari was beyond my expectations in terms of the scenery, wildlife. The migration is on a scale that is hard to describe in words. If you love watching NatGeo, you'll love it! In fact we barely used binoculars since the animals were so abundant and close. (Animals are so used to vehicles that more or less ignore them) We saw the Big Five during our trip. Only animal we did not see at the Massai Mara was the Rhino. But we saw several at Nakuru. Those two are the top destination in my opinion. Amboseli and Tsavo offer very different vistas and are also very nice. In terms of accomodations. We booked mid-level accommodations. Mid-level were luxury resorts with excellent accommodations equivalent to 4 star resorts mostly. I can't imagine it being better honestly. Regardless of your budget, the animals, the scenery are all the same. If you do want to "go big" maybe flying into Maasai Mara to avoid the bad roads might be nice. But the drive gave us a chance to see various towns and cities along the way and get a small window into everyday life in Kenya. This is definitely kid-friendly trip. (tho I would not recommend for toddlers or infants). Go for it!

Amazing trip from beginning to end!
We recently came back from an amazing customized tour with Africa MCflash tours in July. From start to finish everything went very well. We were pleased with all of our accommodations, the food, Safari vehicle, and the wildlife was incredible! I would highly reccomend a private tour with this company.

It was amazing the first days but the last were less intense
We enjoyed ourselves very much The wildlife and scenary was wonderfull. The weather was perfect. We saw a lot of animals, our guide was very nice. Thanks to his effort, we were able to see a lot of animals, some.of which were hunting. We even saw the wildbeast crossing the river...but only the first days. After that, the game drives became shorter and less intense. Accommodations and food was ok. We had a problem with the company, they comitted to do several things that in the end didn't do. Nevertheless, we loved every place we visited, mainly parks with different landscapes. We also liked a lot Kisite marine park near Diani beach. A great journey.

A must see once in your life
This was my second time to Kenya, after a 23 year break, and the wildlife experience was terrific and amazing as experienced already in 1996. The Masai Mara is a life time experience, I cannot imagine a better place for such an experience. The flamingos though have moved away from Lake Nakuru, most to be found at Lake Bogoria now, another life time experience. My first trip to Kenya did not include the beaches, this time we spent a week at Diani beach south of Mombasa, another amazing experience........such a long stretch of white sandy beach along the Indian Ocean (it must be around 80 km) is amazing. Downside in Kenya are safety issues (one is advised not walk around after dark), lots of traffic jams in Nairobi and Mombasa, lots of bad roads in dire repair and the precautions for diseases like Yellow Fever, Malaria and such. Bottom line however is, that Kenya truly is a wonderful and unique destination.
