The best time for wildlife viewing in Khaudum National Park is during the Dry season (May to October). Sightings become easier as animals gather around the receding water sources and foliage thins out in the dry conditions. Big herds of elephant also migrate into the park from neighboring Botswana. During the Wet season (November to April), animals scatter and roads can become impassable.
