It was an excellent trip, the best that my wife and I went on.

The trip was made pleasurable as we were ferried about by our guide Bernhard Bekker and he was very knowledgeable and showed us the big 5 in day! We saw lots of impala, elephants, birds and giraffe. The park looked well taken care of and the scenery was excellent! Our guide was kind enough to take us to the Kruger gate where we had coffee with the elephants and buffalo.

Kruger has everything you need for your wildlife experience. The overnight Huts are perfect to stay in for a few days and you get to see every animal you can imagine. Go in the winter months so there's less green on the trees and more room to see everything.

I love this Park and the way it is managed. I have lived on 4 different continents, and experienced many scenarios in my lifetime, but I keep returning to Kruger. It puts my life into another perspective.

We had a fantastic five days safari, where we were fortunate to see the Big Five / Magnificent Seven plus the small five. Our guides also gave us a cultural experience by the trails throughout the park & we visited the museum at Skukuza which was very interesting & we could appreciate how the park had developed. The guides we had were extremely knowledgable, not only on the Big Five but the birds & flora, they were passionate about Kruger and made us feel most welcome. We were fortunate to stay in three different camps and had our own chef & guide through tout the time. All had very good accommodation with good amenities. We really can't wait to visit again & explore other areas of Kruger.

The Kruger National Park is a wildlife sanctuary to an amazing number of species: 336 trees, 49 fish, 34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 507 birds and 147 mammals. We have had the privilege to seeing all the big five (Lion, Elephant, Rhinoceros, Buffalo and Leopard) in matter of 1.5 hours during many safaris in the Sabi Sands Private Reserves. We also find this area of Kruger National very handy because of its close proximity to the big cities of Johannesburg, the Sun City Resort and the beautiful city of Capetown.

Kruger Park has plenty of wildlife, and it's amazing and exciting to go finding it on your own in your car if you want. I would definitely go back to Kruger Park, it has been a wonderful experience.

Great accessible and affordable wildlife viewing

We spent four nights camping in Kruger National Park. The park was exceptionally well maintained - roads were all in good condition, the camping areas were clean and quiet and the wildlife viewing was exceptional. Our safari company was Armadillo Overland Safari and Adventure Tours, and they did a terrific job taking care of us. We spent quite a bit of time driving through the park and saw an amazing amount of wildlife, especially birds. Chris and Nicky provided lots of books to identify what we saw but they were also quite well informed and gave us lots of additional information about the animals and the park. Late March was an excellent time to visit the park as it wasn't crowded and the weather was mostly good (just a little rain.) The tents were relatively easy to set up, the food was great, and Chris and Nicky were very responsive, informative and accommodating. Camping might not be right for everyone, but we were comfortable and saw more than we ever expected. The truck is quite amazing (cold drinks, charging station and a toilet!) and puts you up higher for better viewing. If you want to see Kruger up close and not spend a fortune, this is absolutely the way to do it!

The location was outstanding with an abundance of animals roaming freely. Stopping next to a group of 5 male lions with in 3 meters in an open vehicle, was sensational. Campground was fine and our guide was outstanding. He prepared most of our meals, which were delicious and we only had one meal at the park restaurant. In addition to knowing where to find animals, he recapped the history of the Boer War which was fascinating. He was a true "renaissance" man. I want to come back!

I was touring KNP park with a safari company from Hoedspruit, SA. The KNP employees I encountered were dressed in a professional manner and were very courteous. The transportation was in an open vehicle which enabled multiple views for picture taking. The weather was over cast on this trip but I have been to KNP several times and every trip is unique. I have witnessed many animal encounters to include the BIG 5, plains games & the infamous wild dogs. Birding is phenomenal even had sightings of the Gound Horn Bill.
If you want an experience that alters your life try South Africa, because after that experience nothing else has ever been the same.

Kruger National Park is wonderful for the first time safari goers. Anybody wanting to see the wildlife up close and personal , then Kruger is the place to be.
My first ever safari was in the Kruger National Park. It pays to find a good company to book with , I did my homework and found a wonderful SA based company(Wild Wings Safaris) who went beyond my expectations. It also pays to have a good guide. I believe that I had one of the best. (Simon Vegter)
The Kruger is a place where you can enjoy the luxury of 5 star accommodation or sleep in a tent under the stars. It has everything to suit each of us. The wildlife throughout the park is amazing , the scenery is wonderful , it has a range of different accommodations and places to eat ranging from restaurants to cooking your own meals in the communial kitchens or private Braai (bbq). Most of the camps have a small grocery store and restaurant.
I have self driven in the Park on a few occasions and from what I have learn't and put into practice from my guide , I have always felt safe.
You do not need a four wheel drive to get around , a standard car would do the trick. There are petrol stations at most camps and tarred roads throughout the park.
Having visited other parks since the Kruger , the only negative I can see is , The kruger park is very commercialised now , and many tourists fight for the best spots at a sighting. If you are after seclusion and wilderness that is still very wild , then parts of the kruger would not be for you.
My highlight of my trip would be spending time with the African Wild Dogs.
